Project executive summary
This proposal corresponds to the new European vision for R & D and innovation as outlined in the Horizon 2020 and with the future
strategies and actions to contribute to research institutes / universities in the development of advanced materials and/or in
advanced manufacturing processes. Modern trends in the field of multiphase composite development aim to use natural
constituents, both the fiber and the matrix, and combinations of such constituents of natural and/or synthetic resin matrix
reinforced in natural or synthetic polymers.
In this project proposal, the research team aims to achieve various architecture multiphase composites with natural polymer matrix,
3D printed, which have sound-absorbing properties, supplemented by an economic criterion aimed at minimizing material /
production costs.
Through this research project, the team aims to develop innovative architectural models for the execution of sound-absorbing
panels, through a new approach to the generally known aspects in the field of polymeric composite materials.
In the second phase it is desired to obtain sound-absorbing panels from composite materials such as beeswax – recycled cellulose –Equisetum arvense, cast in profiled molds obtained by 3D printing.
